YAN ART STUDIO POLICIES
Please read the following policies when you prepare to register for an art class or art workshop at Yan Art Studio! Upon registering for a workshop at Yan Art Studio, you are agreeing to the terms set out here in our Art Education Policies.

General Registration Policies

Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of payment. Payment may be made online, cash or Etransfer.

All programs, prices and instructors are subject to change without notice (only under very rare circumstances)

Yan Art Studio reserves the right to remove students from classes when necessary to ensure the safety and well being of others.
Payments
-
Payments can be made by cash and EMT. For individual reservations joining an existing class, classroom seats are held once full payment is received.

Payment for art class registration is due in full at time of registration and is non-refundable.
Cancellation and Refund Policy

Students may cancel their registration with $50 administrative fee up to two weeks prior to the class’s start date.

There are no refunds for classes that are cancelled by the student within 14 days of the start date.

For private art lessons, we require 24 hours notice for any rescheduling or cancellations. Any lessons cancelled within 24 hours are still billable.

Withdrawal requests must be made by telephone or by email at yanmelodyzhang@google.com.

Students who withdraw more than one week prior to the start of a course will be issued a credit that may be applied to any art class within the same season as the class they originally registered for.

In the event a credit is issued, please note these policies: kids art class registrations are only transferable to other kids art classes, and adult class registrations are only transferable to other adult art classes. Registrations are not transferable between different people or members of the same family.

If you’re enrolled in a series of classes and you miss one or more classes in the series, you are not entitled to any refunds or credits for the missed classes.

If a class is cancelled by us for any reason, registrants will be notified one week in advance. Yan Art Studio will provide full refunds if the class is cancelled by us for any reason, ex: inclement weather.

There will be NO discounts, class credits, refunds, or transfers for unattended classes.
Missed Classes

We encourage students to attend on the same day and time as their scheduled classes on an ongoing basis.

The YAS requires students to provide a written note to our email if they will miss a class. At least 24 hours of notice must be made to be able to makeup a missed class.

If a student has missed a class, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to schedule a makeup class within the same month the student has missed the class. Booking a makeup class must be made via email.

Once a confirmed makeup class has been made, we expect you to attend that class time. Any cancelled or booked makeup classes will not be rescheduled.

We will only give one makeup class per month, according to the class schedule or class availability.

Missed classes cannot be scheduled after the student has left the program.

All makeups classes expire on June 15th and cannot be carried over to the summer schedule and the next year.

We do not give credits or refunds for missed classes.

Classes that are cancelled by the YAS (i.e. if an instructor is not available) will be available for a makeup class within one month of the cancelled class.
Copy right And Privacy

YAS reserves the right to use artwork produced by students for internal exhibitions and events at YAS and also promotional and marketing purposes.

YAS reserves the right to use artwork produced by students in online platforms for artistic and educational purposes.

YAS is allowed to use students’ photos for digital marketing and also online promotional activities.

YAS is committed not to reproduce students’ artworks.

Our online classes will not be recorded without our students’ permission.

YAS is highly committed to protect its students and their families taking into account the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
Cancellation of Classes due to Inclement Weather, Government Shutdowns of Business Operations, and other Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Please confirm classes in the event of inclement weather or other circumstances such as government shutdowns and natural disasters before the class start.

Students will be contacted via phone and email when the school is closed due to weather or such other circumstances.

Every effort to provide make up classes will be made but cannot be guaranteed.

Refunds will not be given in these rare cases.
Yan Art Studio cannot be held responsible for any accident which may occur on our premises during an art class. The participant of any art class assumes that participation involves the risk of an accident occuring and the participant or parent/guardian of the participant who is under 18 years of age, must assume all responsibility. Yan Art Studio will not be held responsible for any lost or misplaced items belonging to any art class participant.
